Skyrim 1.2: A Warning

  • Alan
  • 30 November 2011

blog-skyrim

A public service announcement.

To the tune of the Elder Scrolls theme:

“Breaks the game,

What a shame,

As you’re doused in red flame.

Writhe in pain!

When will you see

Skyrim’s plains again?”

After a fun half hour trying to roll back the Skyrim 1.2 patch, which nullifies all magic resistance and makes every dragon battle an exercise in futility, I would strongly advise all of our readers not to update Skyrim to 1.2 when prompted. If you’re playing on Steam, you will need to disable automatic updates. Hopefully when Patch 1.3 comes out, everything will be sorted. Of course, that patch might turn the ground to lava or break your hero’s legs, so maybe it’s better to play on the safe side.
